Welcome to NASRI
"Understanding how Americans adapt, so we're ready when it matters."
The National Adaptive Stress Research Institute (NASRI) is a federally funded behavioral and physiological research body operating under the National Institutes of Health, Office of Civilian Preparedness.
We study how ordinary American civilians survive, or fail to survive, under conditions of extreme environmental and psychological stress. Our findings inform national emergency preparedness policy, FEMA response doctrine, and the long-term health of the American civilian population.
